But is it really that different from American Idol? Is Simon just the same as ever? We're sharing our thoughts on the premiere in today's PopSugar Rush. Simon Cowell is back! FOX's latest singing competition series, The X Factor debuted last night with a two-hour season premiere. BuzzSugar editor Shannon Vestal is here to weigh in on how the show did. Simon: "What the bloody hell was that?" I definitely missed Simon's snarky-ness on American Idol last season, so I was really glad to see him return to TV last night with his one-liners. I've got to be honest though, The X Factor didn't completely wow me. Even though the show is open to a wider age range than American Idol, it still feels pretty similar between the crowd shots in the audition cities, the contestants' personal stories, and the quirky personalities. And those contestants definitely left an impression on viewers and the judges. In one case, a singer named Geo dropped his pants during his performance in a move that was so distasteful, Paula Abdul actually ran to the bathroom afterward to throw up. "I'm a stud, oh, I'm a stud." Not all of the contestants were terrible though. One singer named Stacy got the audience and the judges on their feet with her performance of "Natural Woman." In Hinduism, Brahman (ब्रह्मन् bráhman) is the one supreme, universal Spirit (also known as brahmajyoti for impersonalists of advaita vedanta school) that is the origin and support of the phenomenal universe.[1] Brahman is sometimes referred to as the Absolute or Godhead[2] which is the Divine Ground[3] of all being. Brahman is conceived as personal ("with qualities"), impersonal ("without qualities") and supreme depending on the philosophical school. Different schools try to establish supremacy of the personal or impersonal (or equality) nature of Brahman, thus there are such schools as advaita (impersonal Brahman is superior to Brahman or Vishnu as Person), and dvaita (accepts Brahman to be Vishnu Himself, thus Brhaman is Supreme Person or Personal). There is still another special school of thought - mayavada - which tries to establish neither the impersonal nor personal nature of Brahman, but tries to prove that Brahman is maya of matter. The sages of the Upanishads teach that Brahman is the ultimate essence of material phenomena (including the original identity of the human self) that cannot be seen or heard but whose nature can be known through the doctrine of self-knowledge.
