Saturday 29th October 2011, saw the Aussie H&H/InsureMyRide SX team in Woollongong at WIN Stadium, the home of the St George Illawarra Dragons NRL team for the second round of this year's Super-X season. The stadium is in a prime location backing onto the Pacific Ocean. The day started off great with some warm and muggy (but overcast) weather. The boys were a little unfortunate in their heats, Urek scraped into the LCQ but stalled in the first corner... Blose showed everyone his pace, and had almost a quarter lap lead in his heat thanks to a nice hole-shot before taking a spill and then coming off the track half a lap later. Which ended up putting him in the LCQ with team mate Chris Camilleri. Camilleri scored his first hole-shot, however Blose fired up and won the LCQ with Camilleri almost making it into the finals with him in 3rd. The reasonable weather decided to turn into a storm which brought some HEAVY rain with it, making the track a mud pit for the second week in a row In the final, Blose copped a bad gate out wide and got tangled up with a bunch of other riders in the first corner, putting him a fair way down the pack. He fought his way back up to about 5th position before he came off the bike again and dropping back down the order. The Goodhead Beer crew were keeping our guests well lubricated all day, and our DJ and the InsureMyRide promo girls kept the party going! Keep an eye out next week in Campbelltown for our special VIP guests! Stop by our tent and say g ...
