Opening and closing scenes from Episode 1 of CITV series "Wysiwyg" from 1992. The premise of the series was that terrestrial tv station, ITV,was interrupted by transmissions from IGTV (Intergalactic Television) controlled by Mer-Dokk (MD). In this episode the supposed ITV programme is a take on "Blockbusters" called Jokebusters. The programme was produced by Patrick Titley for Yorkshire and featured Nick Wilton (who conceived, wrote, and script edited the series), Clive Mantle, Julie Dawn Cole, Linda Hartley and Norman Mills. Bob Holness guests in this first episode, with Ben Miller, Peter Baynham, Laura Beaumont,Chris Macdonnell, Nick Maloney, Brian Parr and Steve & Danny credited as other writers. A Sister TV production for Regent Street TV on behalf of The Crown Estate. The Regent Street Christmas lights were switched on by movie stars from the new 3D family Christmas film, ARTHUR CHRISTMAS at 6.20pm on Tuesday 8 November 2011. British actors Bill Nighy and Ashley Jensen waved to thousands of fans gathered for the traditional countdown "traffic free" event on Regent Street, London W1. Pop stars Kelly Clarkson and Matt Cardle entertained the audience with live performances, supported by the cast of the West End musical Thriller and The West End Gospel Choir. The event closed with a spectacular pyrotechnic display from the Regent Street rooftops, illuminating London's Mile of Style and illustrating its unique ability to produce large-scale, traffic free events worthy of the 2012 London Olympics. The Regent Street Christmas lights are sponsored by Sony Pictures Entertainment in celebration of the release of the new 3D family Christmas movie ARTHUR CHRISTMAS, this year themed with a series of festive designs and characters from the film. Featuring a twinkling re-creation of the Northern Lights as its centrepiece, the crossings are adorned with two huge flying sleighs, elves busy at work, the London skyline, and the Christmas family presiding over it all at each end. Kelly Clarkson performed her massive hit singles 'Mr Know It All' and 'My Life Would Suck Without You'. From en.wikipedia.org Jam was a postmodern British dark comedy series created, written and directed by Chris Morris, and broadcast on Channel 4 during March and April 2000. It was based on the earlier BBC Radio 1 show, Blue Jam, and consisted of a series of unsettling sketches unfolding over an ambient soundtrack. Many of the sketches re-used the original radio soundtracks with the actors lip-synching their lines, an unusual technique which added to the programme's unsettling atmosphere. The cast, which comprised people who Morris had worked with on his earlier TV work such as The Day Today and Brass Eye, included Amelia Bullmore, David Cann, Julia Davis, Kevin Eldon and Mark Heap, as well as occasional appearances from Morris himself. It was written by Chris Morris and Peter Baynham, with additional material contributed by Jane Bussmann, David Quantick, Graham Linehan, Arthur Mathews and the cast.
