He begins talking about how technology is creating jobs, fueling economic growth, and innovating. 2012 is a year to solve major problems. One major problem he emphasizes is SOPA. He plugs declareinnovation.com, a website dedicated to stopping SOPA and encouraging innovation. Speaking of innovation, Qualcomm is invited on stage to talk about mobile technologies for improved gaming performance across devices that use their CPUs. Stephen Elop, CEO of Nokia joins Qualcomm on stage, and proceeds to talk about the brand new Nokia N900. They segue into their demo talking about how the new Snapdragon S4 will power your TV, notebooks, and ultra portables. Windows 8 is shown running on a tablet, Lenovo demos a smart TV with voice control, and Sesame Street shows off a tablet for kids. New medical, car, and oil innovation will also be possible with upcoming Qualcomm technologies. All these devices will be powered by the new Snap Dragon S4, and based on what we've seen, it looks very promising. Around 4 PST Intel began their CES 2012 keynote. Park Ji Min(박지민) may only be 15years(14yrs in Western age) of age, but there's no doubting her singing talent, with a jaw-dropping cover of Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" wowing the judges of Korean TV talent show, KPop Star. Speaking in Korean to the judges before her audition, she's very quiet and reserved, but as soon as she starts singing in English, it's as if Adele is actually there in the room, belting out one hell of a tune. Sure, the piano accompaniment doesn't do her justice, but the envious looks on her competitors' faces just about says it all - this girl's good. Really good. At first the judges just wiggle their heads along to the beat, but as soon as Park Ji Min starts hitting those high notes, we're getting whopping and hollering - even from the fiercesome judge on the right, who bears a startling resemblance to Boardwalk Empire's Michael Shannon. We think so, anyway. The right side judge - whose name is Park Jin-Young(CEO of JYP), by the way - said afterwards: "If I had a big bag beside me, I think I would kidnap you and bring you to my company." So that's... nice? Weird kidnapping comments aside, it truly is one of those Susan Boyle moments - you're not expecting that voice, and then, suddenly, it's as if she was born to sing.
