In 2011, Ion Television began airing new episodes of the series in the United States. It was announced January 25, 2011 that Ion Television had acquired all rights to the show and to continue production in-house. The fourth season of Flashpoint premiered on July 8, 2011 on CTV, and a fifth season has been ordered.
