Part 1: The emancipated Mrs. Bradley attends her ex-husband's funeral and segues to the estate of her paralyzed goddaughter, who is hosting an engagement party. Not long before her detective skills will be required to solve a brutal murder witha twist. Gladys Mitchell's "Adela Bradley doesn't mince words. And why should she. They are her greatest weapon against fools, cads, criminals...and ex-lovers. Words also came easily to Adela's creator, Gladys Mitchell, who published nearly eighty novels in her long lifetime. Gladys introduced Mrs. Bradley in 1929 in the book Speedy Death. She endowed her breezy heroine with attributes she herself possessed including an interest in Freud and a passion for all things British: Morris dancing, mayday rituals, and the Loch Ness Monster. Over the course of some sixty-six mysteries, Adela Bradley married and divorced three husbands, was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire, and a consultant to the British Home Office. She also developed prodigious abilities at pub darts, snooker, billiards, and knife throwing. One thing she cannot do is knit." Joining Mrs. B. is her handsome confidant and chauffeur, George Moody, played by Neil Dudgeon. Wherever their Rolls Royce carries them, they encounter murders that people are just too embarrassed to report to the police. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gladys Mitchell (1901-1983) Gladys Mitchell (1901-1983) was an English author best ...

I would like to say that all the Photos in this film are mine & the the Music that you hear is bought & paid for by Me. As a Member of the www.minelabowners.com & the maker of this short film I start it all of by chatting to Neil Oliver in the field where this was filmed. This is the Minelabowners International Rally held at the Dorset Village of Corfe Castle. We have been meeting here for the last six years. But this year we were going to be filmed by the BBC for the BBC's Programme The One Show. We have 100's of Members from around the World in the MLO but only 70 members were able to attend the rally & were on site for five days & this was going to be aa bench mark for both detectorists & archaeologists working side by side recording History as it comes out of the ground on land & in water, it just shows that we can work together with top results, those of you who saw the One Show will know that Michiel who is seen digging a deep hole had all of us metal detector enthusiasts, archaeologists and the BBC TV Crews thinking he had discovered a Roman lead lined coffin all this was seen LIVE on the BBC's One Show presented by Neil Oliver, But as it was revealed 3 days later also on the One Show the roman coffin was sadly not the case, but it is still Roman its thought to be part of a roman building. This film was made by TagArtStudios TAS 2009 the music is bought & paid for by Me & I have been given permission to use it. To see the Live showing made by MMA for the BBC ...
