Episode 30 of our 2008/2011 digital remaster of the 1986 Harmony Gold edited English dub of Captain Harlock. -------------------- Episode 30 - No Holds Barred The time has come for the final showdown: Captain Harlock, his faithful crew, and his powerful space galleon Arcadia versus Queen Regina and her Mazone hordes. True to form, the Mazone turn suicidal once Harlock begins directing his attacks on the gigantic Mazone mothership - ramming their ships into the Arcadia whenever possible or deliberatly placing themselves between him and the mothership in order to protect their queen. Such a fanatical last stand quickly drains the Arcadia's power reserves - so that by the time he finally finds a way to get clear and close in on Regina, he has almost nothing left with which to fight her. Almost nothing, that is. Harlock too is true to form, so in the spirit of the pirates of old he forms a boarding party and takes the fight to Regina's crew in person. The only problem is that Regina's mothership seems to be mostly empty. What happened to everyone? Where are they? Episode 16 of our 2008 digital remaster of the 1986 Harmony Gold edited English dub of Captain Harlock. -------------------- Episode 16 - "Desperado" The Arcadia is attacked and boarded by Domoh mercenaries who mistake the space galleon for a Mazone ship. Harlock and his crew are forced to fight them in order to save themselves, and due to this tragic misunderstanding all but one of the Domoh boarding party are killed. The lone survivor is Zoroh, their leader, and once he realizes that Harlock is no enemy, he reluctantly takes the space pirate into his confidence. The Domoh are but one of many races the Mazone have conquered and subjugated over the past millennia. He and many others managed to fight their way off-world and escape capture, and have fighting to free the rest of their people ever since. He grudgingly agrees that he and Harlock would do well to work together; however, a Mazone battle squadron shows up to put an end to this truce before it can ever beget results. -------------------- A lot of you YouTube viewers have been asking me about this. This is where the trail leads that Captain Harlock has been following in his quest to rescue little Maia from the clutches of the Mazone. His arrival has not gone unnoticed, however. The Mazone are waiting for him, monitoring his progress, and they fire an asteroid fitted as a giant tracking missile at him. It is faster than the Arcadia, and it is driving Harlock's space galleon towards a nearby planet - to be smashed between the proverbial rock and hard place.
