В честь головного героя серіалу "Щоденники вампіра" Деймона Сальваторе. Прокуратура вимагала заборонити сім'ї давати новонародженому сину настільки екзотичне ім'я. Але суд відхилив їхні претензії. Ліонель і Бланд Дефонтен з міста Камбре на півночі Франції стали батьками 3 листопада 2011 року. Вони шанувальники серіалу. Тому вирішили назвати дитину на честь одного з героїв. Щоправда, до англомовної версії імені вкінці додали букву "е", щоб правильно читалося французькою. А от співробітникам реєстраційного відомства таке ім'я не сподобалось. Вони не видали свідоцтво про народження, мовляв, ім'я неблагозвучне і суперечить інтересам новонародженого. Після цього Дефонтен звернулися до суду. Сказали, що їм просто подобається як звучить ім'я, і що в ньому немає жодного містичного або окультного підтексту. Деймона Сальваторе в "Щоденниках вампіра" грає Йен Сомерхолдер. I feel very fornunate to have the opportunity to broadcast Burt Wilson's TV series called "Ancient Wisdom for the 21st Century" which plays locally here in Sacramento and is the same title as his book. He was a student of the late great Manly P. Hall. Burt took over doing the lectures for the Philisophical Society after Manly's passing.
