It is a reproduction of; I believe(could be wrong) to be the actual 1985 series of Japanese Transformers. I say this because the "title reference"on the box from the show calls the "Autobots" the "Heroic Cybertrons", and refers to the "Decepticons" as the "Evil Destrons", which also refers to their leader "Destron" which is more popularly known as "Megatron". These small details and the classic look of the packaging are what make this a re-mastered, yet vintage collectors item. As a toy to play with, this Item is a bit flimsy for a small child and feels as though it will surly break if handled to roughly. As an original remake you get the original look of Mega... I mean "Destron" and the package includes the extended stock and barrel, and a rail mounted sight(which later had to be purchaced seperately). It also includes his battle blade and a little blaster. In robot mode: The look is far from the more popular one from the more easily recognized Megatron from the TV series. Its a more vintage, 1st run look. several of the parts are surprisingly die-cast metal giving a good weight to the figure. other parts, especially joints; are flimsy plastic and feel as though they will break if tampered with in a more than careful manner.
