Damien Kingsbury, professor of international relations at Deakin University, talked to Al Jazeera from Melbourne, Australia, about the troop mutiny in Papua New Guinea. He termed the development as "a likely a countercoup". "There is tense and uncertain situation," Kingsbury said. "There is no external mediation, no neutral party at the moment, and unless both sides step back from current position there is very good chance it will lead to conflict in the near future."

France has suspended its training programmes for Afghan troops after an Afghan army soldier opened fire in eastern part of the country, killing four French soldiers, according to both NATO and Afghan accounts. Sixteen more members of the French armed forces were injured in Friday's shooting, in the Tagab district of Kapisa province, north of the capital Kabul, a security official told the AFP news agency on condition of anonymity. The attack took place inside the base during a training session conducted by French forces. Al Jazeera's Jacky Rowland reports from Paris

The Wackiest Wagon Train in the West is a 1976 film directed by Jack Arnold. Dusty is a bumbling assistant to Wagonmaster Callahan. Thanks to Dusty's bungling, they are soon separated from the wagon train and lost in the wilderness. A stagecoach and covered wagon heading west across the plains become separated from their wagon train thanks to Dusty (Bob Denver), a bumbling assistant to Wagonmaster Callahan (Forrest Tucker). Lost in the wilderness, seven hapless souls must now make their way to California on their own using what brains they have or haven't got. So goes the storyline that tries to tie together four episodes of the TV series Dusty's Trail (1973) into a feature film. First, the characters meet Injuns who are not unlike the Hekawis in F Troop (1965-1967). Then there is a "necktie party" looking to hang Dusty as a horsethief. Third, a couple of cattle rustlers want to "get friendly" with some willing females. And finally, a "shootout" takes place, with Dusty dressed up as Bat Masterson in a ghostown setting. Just a side not: The characters in this movie very much resemble the characters in Gilligans Island.
