Original Angel Elvis Musik Video 2012 / Sweet November / Um mit den Begriffen Harem Scarem auf Anhieb was anfangen zu können, muss man entweder Fan der Band gleichen Namens, oder ein - bestenfalls im englischsprachigen Raum sesshafter - beinharter Bugs Bunny-Anhänger sein. Harem Scarem ist nämlich nichts anderes als der Titel des ersten Bugs Bunny-Cartoons. Ach ja, und der Name einer ziemlich guten Rockband aus Kanada. Sänger Harry Hess, verlässt in den späten 80ern seine Metalband Blind Vengeance und schließt sich mit Gitarrist Pete Lesperance zusammen, der gerade Minotaur verlassen hat. Beide harmonieren so gut miteinander, dass sie sich noch Drummer Darren Smith (war ebenfalls bei Blind Vengeance) und Basser Mike Gionet dazu holen und die Band Harem Scarem gründen. Nachdem sie ein Demo zusammen haben, kommt der Vertrag mit Warner Music Canada schnell zustande. Ihr Debüt "Harem Scarem" ist vor allem in Kanada, aber auch in den USA ein ansehnlicher Hit. Mit anhaltendem Airplay und zahlreichen Gigs in der nordamerikanischen Umgebung machen sie sich schnell einen Namen. Ihr zweites Werk "Mood Swings" kommt zwei Jahre später und erscheint auch in Japan, wo sich die Band ebenfalls schnell eine ansehnliche Fanschar erspielt. Das Album geht gitarrentechnisch etwas härter vor als das Debüt und kommt bei Kritikern wie Fans gleichermaßen gut an. EZECHIEL PALMIERI Ezechiel Palmieri was born in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina in February of 1983. Being only one year old he already liked to pounce on the keys of his grandma's piano. Four years later, at the tender age of five he asked his parents to take him to have piano lessons. He studied in the piano conservatory for 10 years, getting his degree as a solfeggio and theory teacher at the age of 12 and that of piano teacher at 15. After that, having already written his first songs, he commenced taking lessons of composition, orchestration, arrangement and counterpoint with one of the best arrangers in Argentina, Gerardo Gardelín. He speaks several languages besides Castilian, such as Arabic, Japanese, English, Italian, Portuguese and Russian, and he has versioned all his songs into those languages. His music led him to participate in various songwriting contests (Mexico, Spain, USA) around the globe where he was awarded the first prize in all of them. The winning song was "Atado a mi alma" which apart from composing its music and written its lyrics he performed (singing) live, being the last one the 'National Songwriting Competition' organised by SADAIC (Argentine Society of Authors & Composers of Music), in which he was awarded the first prize and chosen as the Best Songwriter of Original Songs.
