*read the description, please* It's been a while since I have last uploaded something. I've been quite bored lately (though that doesn't mean I haven't been busy, unfortunately), and I suddenly got this urge to do some sort of AMV or tribute of sorts for Xillia. Finally got to almost 300 hours, and I still can't get enough of that game. Of course, it has tons of bad things as well, but all in all, it was worth every cent I paid for it. Though I've been a really huge fan of the series for a while now, I'm finally starting to wonder where the hell Tales is headed, with all those Innocence Remakes and Triverse and whatnot, and especially cause Namco suddenly seemed to think joining 3 completely different games was a good idea. *cough* Anyway, about the song used for this video... I'll admit, initially I thought about using "Progress", the game's main opening theme, but *bam*, turns out it's copyrighted and I don't feel like going through all that trouble of trying to get the music back on. I've listened to this music a lot, lately, and some of you might even recognize it from Fairy Tail (Opening 9). Basically, I used Xillia's main opening video with a few different anime cutscenes, and added it by changing it and hoping it'd fit with the rythm of the song. Seriously, I think I did a pretty decent job, taking into account I didn't spend more than 2 hours working on this. "Stranger on the Shore" is a piece for clarinet written by Acker Bilk for his young daughter and originally named "Jenny" after her. It was subsequently used as the theme tune of a BBC TV drama serial for young people that was also called Stranger on the Shore. The track, performed by Bilk (as "Mr. Acker Bilk") with backing by the Leon Young String Chorale, was released as a single on Columbia Records DB 4750 in October 1961, with the label of the single openly proclaiming "Theme from the BBC TV. Series". The B-side was "Take My Lips". The single became a phenomenal success, topping the NME singles chart and spending nearly a year on the Record Retailer Top 50. It was the UK's biggest-selling single of 1962, the biggest-selling instrumental single of all time, and appears fifty-eighth in the official UK list of best-selling singles issued in 2002. In May 1969, the crew of Apollo 10 took "Stranger on the Shore" on their mission to the moon. Gene Cernan, a member of the crew, included the tune on a cassette tape used in the command module of the Apollo spacecraft. The composition has been covered by many other artists, most prominently a vocal version by Andy Williams, a group vocal version by The Drifters, and a soprano sax smooth jazz adaptation by Kenny G. It was also sampled (with a writer's credit for Bilk) on "A Melody From a Past Life Keeps Pulling Me Back" by The KLF on their album Chill Out, and on the track "Music For Libraries" by Way Out West.
