Full Report Transcript: What better way to show your love for your startup boyfriend than to learn to code and launch a site all by yourself, right? That's what Kaitlyn Trigger, the present girlfriend of Mike Krieger, who is the co-founder of popular photo sharing app Instagram, did. Kaitlyn, who is a political science major from Yale University and who in her own words quote "never took any computer classes" taught herself to program in the "Python" language with a deadline date set for Valentines' Day this year. The result? Lovestagram. Lovestagram let's take the Instagram photos you've shared with a specific person and turn those photos into an e-Valentine greeting postcard. According to Kaitlyn, quote "Learning to program isn't the hard part. The biggest challenge is figuring out how all the moving parts of a web application fit together. There's no book for that," unquote. Besides learning to program in python, Kaitlyn also taught herself the Django Web framework as well as Heroku, a cloud application platform that let's you deploy and maintain your web applications in the cloud.
