Today we are with Stephanie, designer of the jewelry line Faux Pas. Scott Stephanie, how long have you been making jewelry? Stephany: About 11 years now. Scott: Some of these pieces are amazing. Tell me, what are these bad boys made out of? Stephany: These are made from water buffalo teeth that have been stained. Scott: And this one ...? Stephany: A bear tooth. Scott: So, you've been in our store for about 2.5 years. We really only sell local, one-of-a-kind artists that is not saturated but harder to find. What else inspires you about your line? Where do you find your materials and pieces? Stephany: I'm mainly inspired by unique and different textures and also chains. Antique and vintage pieces that I may find. I enjoy hunting for exotic pieces and then taking them all apart to mix with newer chains and modern materials for an antiqued effect. Scott: They're mixed modern antiques.
