In the black bar at the bottom of the video you will see labels with my contribution to each shot, and symbols in the bottom right representing the programs used (3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, zBrush and Qube, respectively). For a further breakdown, read below: SHOT_001 - 'iconicles' - Rumple [2011] It was my responsibility to set up the lighting rig for this show. Employing HDRI and standard lighting techniques, I used some unlocked mib shaders in Maya and did my best to match them to on-set photos and the sets physical light rig. I also helped render the shots for compositing (there were 3000+ during the series), using Dinamos proprietry render pipeline system. As for the character's texturing, myself and a colleague used stylised 2D character reference and some real-world influences to create a cartoony, but grounded character texture using Photoshop and zBrush SHOT_002 - 'abadas' [2011] (Snail/Butterfly) Part of my job on abadas was to create props, two of which you see here. I used Maya, Photoshop and zBrush (spotlight). Pretty standard really. SHOT_003 - office [2010] For this project, I wanted a period look; grounded in reality but stylised and painterly. Most of the work was done in Maya and Photoshop, with a little zBrush. Fire was done in Paintfx, then converted to polygons. SHOT_004 - 'Bloody Norah' [2011] In this film, my role was to create a stream of flying butterflies to be composited into the scene. I used 4 sets of animated, instanced butterflies in maya and ...
