Gangstar: Miami Vindication [$6.99] was released this evening, and while several of our annoyances from the first have been tweaked or massaged to be less problematic, there's still a few things keeping Miami Vindication from being our favorite thug simulator. Much like the original, Gangstar: Miami Vindication features a full city to explore, a wide variety of vehicles to steal, weapons ranging from baseball bats to flame throwers, and a heap of missions to complete. (75 to be exact.) The game plays exactly how you'd expect it to play if you've ever played a Grand Theft Auto or similar type of open world crime game. You can play through the series of missions which vary wildly from something as simple to going to a particular point in the city to stealing a specific car or even racing. Alternatively, you can just disregard the missions entirely and instead just drive around the city, stealing cars, running from the police, or really doing whatever you feel like doing.While there isn't a whole lot of innovation to be found in Miami Vindication, it has been improved in some ways over the original. Ballinger. The film was inspired by the Boston Strangler, a serial killer of the 1960s. Leo Kroll (Buono) is a mother-fixated lab technician who collects dolls. He is also a serial killer, responsible for the death of a number of nurses, and is questioned by the police regarding those murders, but is released. Kroll claims his next victim, Clara (Bates), the nurse who has been looking after his possessive mother, who is in hospital after a heart attack. However, he leaves a doll behind at the murder scene. (A subplot features Kroll becoming enamored of Tally (Davison), one of the girls who works at the amusement park stall from which he won this doll.) Kroll is again questioned by the police, but successfully passes a lie detector test and is released. He visits his mother in hospital and tells her how he killed Clara, which induces a second, fatal heart attack. Returning to the amusement park, he sees Barbara (Sayer), Tally's co-worker, talking to the police. This makes Kroll frantic. As Kroll is talking to Barbara about the police, he is visibly nervous. He misses ring after ring while he plays the game. When Barbara mimics one of the dolls by saying "Mama", this reminds Kroll of his mother and finally sets him off. Daily News @ RevolutionNews.US ~ FAIRBANKS - The HAARP project in Alaska, the subject of many conspiracy theories, is getting blamed by some in Moscow for the failure of the wheat crop and the smoke that has been choking the city in recent weeks. The Russian government said it will suspend wheat exports until December because of the severe drought that has hit much of the country. "Moscow's tabloid press has even speculated that the United States orchestrated the heatwave in order to favor its own grain exporters by blasting Russia with harmful rays from a research station in Alaska," the Guardian newspaper of London reports. But the paranoia goes beyond the comments of some newspaper editors. Andrei Areshev, the deputy director of the Strategic Culture Foundation, said the real purpose of the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Project in Alaska is to build a weapon "in order to destabilize environmental and agricultural systems in local countries." "At the moment, climate weapons may be reaching their target capacity and may be used to provoke droughts, erase crops and induce various anomalous phenomena in certain countries," he wrote in an article published throughout Russia, according to a news report on the Radio Free Europe Radio Liberty website.
