Hi there, I'm Lauren Bradshaw, and we have the details as Jay-Z makes his first public appearance since becoming a father. It's in today's PopSugar Rush! Jay-Z is one proud dad! The rapper was all smiles last night as he stepped out in the spotlight for the very first time since welcoming his newborn into the world. PopSugar Brittney Stephens is here with more. Jay-Z went to the re-opening of 40/40 last night, the club that he co-owns in New York City, and even though there was some speculation that Beyonce might show, it looks like she decided decided to stay home with Blue Ivy. After all, the baby is less than two weeks old. The father did not speak about Blue on the carpet to reporters, but once inside, he did show off his bundle of joy to friends like Ashtanti and Spike Lee. Jay was reportedly pulling up photos on his phone, and giving hugs to everyone. It sounds like the excitement surrounding the birth definitely hasn't worn off yet. Even though Jay wouldn't comment to press about the baby, that definitely hasn't stopped his friends and family from gushing over the newborn. US Weekly reports that his sister was overheard at the party saying the family is doing fine, while Michelle Williams spoke to USA Today over the weekend, saying: "She is absolutely gorgeous. We were all in love."
