Cosmos: War of the Planets (Italian: Battaglie negli spazi stellari) is an Italian film directed by Alfonso Brescia and starring John Richardson, released in 1977. It is considered a remake of the 1965 film Planet of the Vampires. The film begins with the crew of a spaceship seeing explosions in space and asteroids flying by. They are afraid that they are going to be hit, but their ship's computer, named Wiz, tells them that they were seeing the "refraction" of an event that took place millions of years ago. Overjoyed, the ship's crew hug and kiss each other. Next follows a scene within the Orion space complex (whose introduction includes stock footage of the Japanese space launch center) of Captain Mike Hamilton's slapping a fellow officer. Soon he is called to report on this behavior to the base commander. He says that the other officer did not give him a command personally, but told him to follow the directions of a computer. Hamilton's attitude against such machines is one of the few themes of the story. A scene derived from 2001: A Space Odyssey next appears. Hamilton and his ship, the MK-31, are sent to repair an automated satellite. One of the crew floats over to the satellite and starts work. Viewing this on the screen, Hamilton is upset because it is required that spacewalkers work in teams of two, and predicts that the acid in the battery will eat through the astronaut's suit. The astronaut says that he's in control of the situation - but it does start to eat ...

Here is the Wimzie doll that Sonja Ball gave to me. It says all sorts of phrases from "You're Superfantabulous" to "I need a hug". It is not particularly an easy talking doll to get anymore. I did see them in a PBS store back in 1999 or 2000 when the children's TV series "Wimzie's House" was on TV, but haven't seen it since, and it's relatively forgotten about. I put a new battery into this doll, but somehow it said on the box that the head was supposed to move when Wimzie talked. Maybe the battery I put in was already partly used, I have no idea. But at least, I got half of it to work...lol!!! Also, Sonja Ball autographed the doll at the foot part, as you can see from the video. She gave this doll to my parents to take home to me when she met them in Montreal on September 25th, 2011. I have truly treasured my friendship with Sonja and I continue to be in close contact with her, I talk to her almost every month, if not more than that, and I really appreciate her as a friend, as a kind and sensitive individual. I am proud to know so many people who are well known singers and entertainers, from Barry McGuire (who sang the 1965 song "Eve Of Destruction"), to Sonja Ball, to Lillie Howard (who sang "Lucky Ladybug" with her singing partner, Billy Ford), to Anita Humes Chappelle (who sang "Easier Said Than Done" with her group The Essex in 1963; sadly Anita passed away at age 70 on May 30, 2010), to my good friend from high school Zachary Gill who tours with Jack Johnson and ...

Do you guys remember this series? No? well heres the link to every episode of you don't: www.youtube.com I laid down on floor, Nick and Joe on the chair. I couldn't understand anything they were saying, it was all in...foreign, I turned on my side slightly "What language is this?" I asked Nick; he looked down at DVD box "Scandinavian" He said unsurely, Joe rolled his eyes as he walked into the room. "Nick, come on! We saw this like two years ago" He groaned. "You said get whatever, and I did. Besides you liked this movie" Nick defended. "I only said that cause you liked it, you just reminded me of how awful it is!" Joe sighed. "Well you don't have to watch it!" Nick resorted, Joe stood up. "I'm not gonna" He said pushing past Nick and stormed up to his room, Nick opened his mouth. "1, 2, 3..." we counted then heard the door slam. "You better go after him" I'd always say whenever this happened between them. Nick stood up a sigh escaping his lips "Yeah" he said putting one foot on the step "One of these days Sel" He said...which was new before jogging up the stairs. I stood up and lay down on the couch waiting for them to stop arguing, I soon felt someone's arms snake around my waist. "Selly...wake up" I heard them whisper I shifted groaning slightly and sat up looking at them both. "Are you guys done fighting now?" I yawned sitting up and looked at them, my bangs covering my eyes slightly. Nick chuckled picking my legs up and sat down on the chair and placed my legs on his ...
