Hey! You know ages ago I uploaded a vid set to Nightwish's GLS? Yeah. Well, this is what I've had to do in order to make the vid a reality again; damn stupid laptops! W7 is now my best friend because it's fast and pretty and works and I can now do this vid!! Hopefully I'll be able to do to at least 5 minutes by Monday of next week, but I'm wary since I have January exams and such next week... damn you RL! Can't you see I'm trying to vid here!! Anyway. It's not finished, not by a long shot, but I thought I'd give you guys a DECENT length preview of this. And I want to know if you all think the 'movie-screen' kinda look suits better than a full-screen look does; I think it makes it look more dramatic and less like a standard TV show (WHICH SANCTUARY ISN'T!!)

Another Quotes vid... wow. I didn't think I had it in me to do these sorts of emotional and well-meaning, types of things... This is, for those who don't know already, Helen Magnus and Adam Worth from the TV show Sanctuary. I personally adore the show and find it to be in-depth, well-thought-through and it tackles important issues. The best part of it is that there's this constant, subtle (and not so subtle) air of not judging others, no matter how they act, think or feel. "Sanctuary for all" indeed. But, whilst that's the brilliant thing about the show and what the characters constantly do, there are the darker parts of our human behaviour which is explored and studied, quite in-depth as well. And I think that one of the major story arcs which shows this is the 'Worth Storyline'. Adam Worth is a mad consumed by pain and grief which has turned to cold, hard anger; and it's aimed at the world, but especially at Helen. I hope that this video highlights that fact as best it can because, I don't think Adam was born a monster but made into one when his daughter died; and he subsequently blamed Helen for Imogen's death. Basically, what I want this video to show is the dynamic between the two of them; Adam's daughter died, Helen's daughter died. The first time around, Imogen died because Helen refused to inject her with source blood; Ashley died because of the source blood. The second time around, Imogen died because Adam was blinded by hate and anger and his shot missed Helen ...

Watch in HD, with headphones :) ~~#~~ Okay. I love this show. It's new.. It's different... It isn't on UK TV yet.... yeah. I love it so much I went searching for clips of it just to make a vidlet of it. The characters are well-thought out, the plot line is in depth (not to mention twisty and turny), and above all... it's got MAGIC in it! :D Anyway, this isn't anything truly spectacular really. It's actually more of a test of my vidding skills after so many weeks not vidding. I think they're not too bad, do you agree? :)

*Watch in HD please* ~~#~~ Okay, I completely adore this show. It's got some excellent character depth, psychological trauma detail and then there's the whole "ALIENS" part too. All in all, I find it to be one of the best things on TV to date. I know there are loads of people who think it's crap but, honestly, there are few shows on telly nowadays that give you a decent, believable, approximation of humanity's reaction to alien invasion. (Yes folks, I've looked believe me :p) Anyway, enough about the reasons why I like the show and yadda-yadda (I could talk about it all day... seriously). I must admit I've found myself completely fascinated by Tom Mason (Noah W's character) because of the dynamics of his personality and his motivations. He's practical but emotional, pragmatic but optimistic. He's a brilliant character to study (and I do like to study the personalities of characters; it's one of the biggest hang-ups for most shows for me). Anyway, just a short, introductory video to this excellent show focusing mostly on Tom Mason and how he's had to become stronger because of the invasion. There are many ways one can become stronger; emotionally, physically, mentally. And I think that Tom Mason has strengthened in respect to all three of those. He's become 2IC of a resistance group fighting against an Alien foe with advanced technology, unknown numbers, and they're uncertain, desperate and lost in a sea of fear, paranoia and instinct.
