www.youcar.tv Lexus unveiled a new design concept for a hybrid 2+2 sport coupe at the North American International Auto Show. Showcasing the future design direction for Lexus with an emphasis on a driver-focused vehicle, the LF-LC concept will be at the Lexus display through January 22. The LF-LC displays the new Lexus design language in its bold interpretation of the signature Lexus spindle grille and rear architecture. Sumptuous curves blend smoothly into dynamic angles, creating an inviting display of lines, shadows and corners. Framed by a deep aluminum surround, the mesh pattern of the spindle grille takes 3D sculpture form, and functional air intakes in the bottom corners of the grille show the fusion of distinctive style and engineering functionality. Daytime running lights are shaped like an "L" while the vertical fog lamps utilize a fading dot matrix pattern to suggest a sense of movement. The front-engine, rear-wheel drive LF-LC features Advanced Lexus Hybrid Drive, delivering both driving performance and fuel efficiency.

Osamu Namba General Manager of Design Dept, Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. Today I would like to provide a rundown of the underlying design aspects of the SUBARU ADVANCED TOURER CONCEPT, direct from the Tokyo Motor Show. This concept car has been designed to address the need for a new type of touring car that adheres with a new era of environmental regulations. It has been built around Subaru's brand statement "Confidence in Motion" for delivering peace of mind and enjoyment to users. What you see here is the new approach that Subaru is seeking for the tourer concept, blending driving, safety and environmental aspects in a high-performance touring package. First up, the front end has been designed with hexagon grill that is typical of the Subaru lineup, accented with aggressive-looking U-shaped headlamps. The side has been designed around the bold body lines stretching from the front hexagon to form a classic wagon profile. Firmly supporting the overall stance of the car are the distinctive front and rear fenders. Now a quick overview of the rear. Subaru's signature U-shaped tail lamps can also be found here, while the body has been designed to merge the lines flowing from the front into the rear hexagon. Let's open the gull-wing doors and have a look inside. The interior has ample room for four passengers, with each seat being shaped to provide plenty of freedom.
