A Dream of Red Mansions, sometimes translated as The Dream of the Red Chamber, the great classical Chinese novel written in the mid-eighteenth century during the reign of Emperor Chien-lung of the Ching Dynasty, has been widely popular throughout the last two hundred years and more. In the use of dialogue too he shows outstanding skill, putting such distinctive speech into each character's mouth that the reader feels as if he can see and hear the speaker. I made this video yesterday and it's about two Asian characters from Bad Girls. Arun Parmar (played by Rebecca Hazlewood) who is half-English, she's in series 7 of Bad Girls and is actually a transexual. Janan Hamad (played by Meera Syal) is in series 6 and went to prison for killing someone but she had a rooftop protest joined by Darlene Cake, the Julies and Tina. The song to this is "Inhi Logon ne le leena dupatta mera" which is by Lata. I heard it in the East is East movie and Meena was dancing to it in the garden. Rebecca Hazlewood is a well known actress she's in the American TV show called "Outsourced", Brookside, and Lost. Meera Syal is even more known, in Goodness gracious me, The Kumars at no. 42 and loads of others.
