The past few weeks have presented a smorgasbord of camera announcements from the likes of Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Samsung, and Sony. Here are the new cameras that stand out from the pack at first pass. Take a closer look. Here are the announcements we're excited about, including ultracompact cameras, premium point-and-shoots, pocket megazooms, rugged cameras, DSLRs, and everything in between. Fujifilm X-Pro 1 Price and availability: February, TBA Fujifilm announced its first interchangeable-lens camera in the high-end X-series, the camera body houses a 16-megapixel APS-C size sensor. The X-Pro 1's price isn't set yet, but you can expect this model to go for around $1600 or more. Canon PowerShot G1 X Price and availability: $800, February The follow-up to the excellent Canon PowerShot G12, The 4X-optical-zoom PowerShot G1 X has a 14.3-megapixel CMOS sensor that's six times the size of the one found in the G12, and it ups the ante with 1080p video recording and a higher-resolution, adjustable LCD screen that matches the one found on the Canon EOS Rebel T3i. Sony Handycam HDR-PJ760V Price and availability: $1600, March Sony's new top-of-the-line Handycam camcorder records 1080p video at both 60 fps and 24 fps, offers full manual controls, and geotags and displays footage on an in-camera map. We got some hands-on with the device. The Lumia 900 is a 4.3-inch AMOLED Clear black display device. it is power by a 1.5Ghz Processor with 512MB of ram. its got a rear camera with an f2.2 aperture and a front-facing camera with a f2.4 aperture for some great videos and video chats. The Lumia 900 is also a 4G LTE device on AT&T, so you can expect some very stellar speeds . The Nokia Lumia 900 benefits from a range of leading content experiences: - The AT&T U-verse Mobile** app lets U-verse TV subscribers browse the U-verse TV program guide, schedule and manage their DVR recordings, and watch hit TV shows while on the go. The U-verse Mobile library includes more than 100 TV series and more than 700 TV shows from a variety of genres. - Nokia Drive, available to download from Windows Phone Marketplace, provides free voice-guided, turn-by-turn navigation with a dedicated in-car user interface that turns the Nokia Lumia 900 into a GPS navigation device. - The exclusive ESPN sports hub is pre-loaded on Nokia Lumia smartphones, and provides a one-stop sports application for news, videos and scores. - A partnership with EA to bring over 20 of the world's most popular games to the Windows Phone marketplace, coming first to Nokia Lumia devices.
