Busy and Michelle kicked off their award season festivities last night at a Weinstein Company party, but things are about to shift into high gear — The My Week With Marilyn star is up for a best actress honor for a second year in a row, and Busy is hoping she brings Michelle better luck this time around. "I'm really crossing my fingers and also I feel like if she doesn't win maybe next time she's gonna go with a different date." Michelle has already taken home a trophy at the Palm Springs Film Festival, and she has chances to get another tonight at the Critics' Choice and at the Screen Actors Guild awards later this month.

She went with an Elie Saab dress and pin straight locks for the evening, which included a win for Favorite TV Drama Actress. Boyfriend and costar Ian Somerhalder was in the audience and congratulated his love on Twitter with this sweet message: "Congratulations Nina! You won! People DO like you. You rock, babe, truly." "I don't really know what's coming up because we don't get the scripts far in advance." Nina didn't dish about what's to come onscreen, but offscreen, the recently-turned-23-year-old said she's planning a belated birthday party to make up for having to clock in on her big day this past Monday. "I spent it at work, I was working and then I got on a plane to come here, so I unfortunately haven't done anything really exciting but I think this weekend I'm going to have a pretty cool gathering." Shortly after the show, Nina and Ian were spotted already leaving for their Atlanta set out of LAX. Ms. Dobrev, still in her red carpet best, looked elated holding her statue.
