Transcript FOX's new midseason shows are kicking off for 2012! SideReel was on the scene at the official Television Critics Association network press tour to get the inside scoop. I'm Alex and I'm here to tell you what's new from FOX and what's worth watching, coming up next. SideReel's TCA correspondent, Tim Holland reports from the FOX portion of the press tour that JJ Abrams' latest puzzler, Alcatraz, is ambitious but Abrams and his excellent cast, led by Sam Neill, Sarah Jones and Jorge Garcia, are up to the task. Alcatraz is the perfect mix of thrilling police procedural and good old-fashioned mystery, making it an exciting new sci-fi drama that's unlike anything else on TV. But what else would you expect from the man behind Alias, Lost and Fringe? Next up, Touch stars Kiefer Sutherland as a single dad of an emotionally-challenged 11-year-old boy who only communicates through numbers, and the show mixes science and spirituality to show that we are all connected. We caught up with fellow music icon Jennifer Lopez, who just heard the happy announcement, and the mother of two lavished her praise on the new mom. "The best part of [Beyonce's] life is about to begin," said Lopez fondly. "I just wish her the best. I know she's going to love it and be a great mom." Lopez was out and about this weekend, making the rounds at the FOX TCAs to promote a brand-new season of American Idol, which will air in a few weeks with a special two-night premiere on January 18 & 19. I'm Heather and I've got the latest Entourage buzz coming up in today's Entourage edition of Reel TV News. Don't expect much out of Entourage's series finale because it could be a real bore... According to Access Hollywood, Executive Producer Dough Ellin told reporters at the Television Critics Association Summer Session "There's no major deaths, there's no major things"..."It's really hopefully just a vibe". but apparently the vibe isn't going over so well with the critics. The show's last season is receiving some harsh reviews, making big screen plans for the series seem more like pipe dreams. But producers don't seem worried, at the TCAs Mark Whalberg commented "I said if I had to finance it myself I would do it." Ellin added "We're gonna do a movie, It's a question of when, how quick [we can]... come up with an idea and make it happen." ...So, What do you think, does the show have enough stamina to make the move to the big screen? Dana Ward here in Hollywood and today on ClevverTV, we've got a recap -- and the link -- to a new behind the scenes video of Selena Gomez getting prepped for the Teen Choice Awards. We start off in Times Square where SG tells us how she's been to New York so many times but this is the first time that she's actually been able to walk around. She's quite the jet setter, hopping on a plane with her band to head out to LA after her one day in the Big Apple. Selena Gomez and the Scene hit the stage for their first TCA rehearsal -- along with the tango dancers and the amazing stage -- with the star saying that she learned the choreography in about an hour. We see her joking around, doing the tango in her cute, casual gear and we're still laughing about her joke about only getting an apple and wanting some junk food. It's super fun to see her getting all dolled up for the awards show -- from the wardrobe, hair and makeup for the red carpet walk to hitting up backstage for a costume change for the big show. We see Joey King, Taylor Swift and Kanye wishing her well, and Justin Bieber is definitely there to support, adding to the vocal warm-up session.
