This music segment was one of 17 "Dance of the Week" and "Brand New Song" segments originally shown on "The Archie Show" on CBS-TV on Saturday mornings in 1968, and repeated on the original hour-long format of "Archie's Funhouse" in 1970. The song, "Hide & Seek" was included on The Archies' self-titled first LP, released in 1968, and as a cardboard record on the back of Post Super Sugar Crisp cereal (first series). The original film element for this music segment has become lost. "The Archie Show" is currently owned by USA based Classic Media (formerly Entertainment Rights from the UK), which purchased the Filmation library from it's previous owner, Hallmark. "The Archie Show" and the 30-minute format of "Archie's Funhouse" (with some funhouse & side-show segments from "The Archie Comedy Hour" added as bonus material) are currently available in complete DVD boxsets from Genius Products. "Archie" is owned and copyrighted by Archie Comic Publications.

If you want it, you can get it, but to get it, you got to want it... If you were my age and watched Saturday Morning TV, How could you possibly forget this song!? Make A Wish was an American television series which ran on ABC from 1971 to 1976. Produced by ABC News, it was hosted by musician Tom Chapin and created and produced by Lester Cooper. It replaced Discovery, a similar series for children also produced by ABC News (which began in 1962). The series, originally broadcast on Saturday mornings but later moved to Sunday mornings, focused on a particular theme. One episode, for instance, was about snakes, another about motorcycles. Chapin would introduce the topic in much the same manner: "I think a snake is what I'll be. Imagine all the possibilities." After that there would be a sort of free association featuring stock footage, animation, and Chapin's music and voiceover commentary. The series won a Peabody Award for Best Children's Series in 1971.
